The people behind the network

Following a childhood spent in various countries, David's main motivator has always been connecting culturally diverse people towards common goals. With 25 years in freight forwarding and 13 years at an SCN member company, he joined the SCN team in 2016 to lead the network's growth and strategic direction.

Sophia moved to Barcelona in 2014 and brings over 20 years of experience from a British Insurance Company in Madrid, where she advanced from PA to Head of Business Services for Southern Europe & LATAM. She holds a degree in History and Arts from the University Complutense of Madrid.

A natural people-person with an instinct for building connections. Born and raised in India and based in the UAE, Humayun brings decades of experience in shipping and freight forwarding. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and extensive experience in supply chain management.

From Sri Lanka, Vishaka brings over 15 years of experience in international shipping and global trade. She studied Logistics and Supply Chain Management at SIMM in Singapore and has held leadership roles in sales, marketing, and branch management throughout her career.

Originally from Tunisia and based in Spain, Arbi has over 8 years of experience in content creation and multimedia design. He produces SCN's newsletters, social media content, podcasts, and promotional materials that keep the network connected and informed.

From Mexico City, Michaelle studied Industrial Engineering with a Logistics specialization. With over 11 years of experience, she began her career at a consumer goods company and now collaborates with SCN on marketing strategies and member visibility initiatives.

In and around the business of networking freight forwarders since 1985, Dave was involved in founding three networks, including SCN in 2002. His previous career includes educator, corporate training manager, and business newspaper editor. He continues to serve as SCN's Honorary Chairman.
